1 cup sugar
3/4 cup seasoning salt
1/2 cup black pepper
5 pounds venison, beef, elk or other meat cut in strips
4 ounces liquid smoke
Combine sugar, seasoning salt and black pepper, and place in a shaker. In a shallow pan, arrange a layer of meat strips. Sprinkle with seasonings and cover with liquid smoke. Repeat layers to use all ingredients. Marinate meat for 8 hours. Place aluminum foil on oven racks, and arrange meat strips on foil in single layer.
